Stargate: SG-1 ended tonight.

Oh, I loved it, but it hurt so much!

Cut for spoilers!

Some thoughts )

God, I'm gonna miss this show...

Okay, new look for journal. Is purdy now, yes.

Two: Stargate premieres.

I'm still in sci-fi fangirl geek happiness overload, so I can't do a proper homage to the awesomeness I watched tonight. Still, I lurve Vala's dress (I wants it and I want to cosplay in it bad), her kid freaks me out, and Michael in Atlantis needs a hug and I think he's my new favorite character.

Oh, most definitely an excellent weekend so far!

First, Team USA kicked South Africa's ass yesterday in the World Baseball Classic. 17-0. They called in the 15-or-more-runs-in-5-innings mercy rule. XP I may hate Roger Clemens's guts for his time as a Yankee, but I can't deny he is the one pitcher that no one, no one, walks away unscatched from. All hail The Rocket.

Second, returned to my video game kick. Played a bit of Kingdom Hearts yesterday (kicking Sephiroth's ass is really, really satisfying) before starting a new game of Final Fantasy X. I spooked my brother because he'd never seen me play it and he wasn't used to voice acting in a Final Fantasy game. XP Can't say I blame him, although we got a kick from making fun of the dialogue. And my love for Auron has been reaffirmed, yeeesss. Mmhm, I adore his voice actor.

Last, but certainly not least, the season finales of Stargate: SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis.

I had never believed in spontaneous orgasms until last night.

The writing was excellent. I honestly could not tell where the writers were going except from what was slightly revealed in the commercial previews. I admit to some minor doubts about season 9 of SG-1 (oh come on, there was no Jack, you can't fault me for that), but this season finale (especially the very ending) brought me back to the Land of Screaming Faithful Nerds. To the director, writers, and producers of SG-1: I LOVE YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH. Here's my soul back!

As for Atlantis... Ooh, my head was being taken in two different directions. *delightful shiver* One part of me said blow the suckers up, the other was going "Yays for the Hive!" But that ENDING. *moans* Oh, sweet Jesus, and I was still recovering from the SG-1 finale ending. Talk about massive overload to the sense. To the director, writers, and producers of Atlantis: MARRY ME.

I love being a geek.

Okay, so, few different things going on.

First, in chem yesterday (first period), we were doing the egg in a bottle thing that has to do with air pressure. First time around, it turns out the flask was too hot and the table too cold, because when Dr. Yu put the egg in the flask, it went 'splode.

And that is EXACTLY the reason why I signed up for chemistry!

Second, Mama and Dad and some kind of phone conference with the Headmaster concerning Billy (long, long story, please don't ask me to explain because I barely know anything) and his Crohn's. In short, we've found out that Crohn's does qualify as a disability and that Billy falls under federal law when it comes to stuff like that.

Headmaster says she doesn't believe Crohn's to be a disability.

Not sure how Mom managed to not have an anurism. I've never seen her so pissed. Hell, when she told me what had happened, I was so angry I almost broke the pencil I was using to scribble in my notebook with.

So, Mom contacted the liasion between my bro's doctor and the schools, and she said that dammit, Crohn's definitely counts as a disability, and she also gave Mom the number of an excellent lawyer down in Conneticut.

Yeah. We're going to sue the BPS. Mom told me to start saving up all my tests just in case some tampering goes on with my final grades.

Depressing, huh?

In any event, I finally broke in the scanner portion of the new printer/scanner/copier, and I'll be posting what I scanned on devArt later today. I also watched Stargate last night, AND OMG SQUEE Cam speaks Chinese! Couldn't for the life of me figure out if it was Mandarin or Cantonese, my brain had already begun shutting down on the way home from school five hours before.

Oh. And guess what I found on Gateworld this morning.

Stargate-based MMORPG in development.

I have just died and gone to heaven.
